This beautiful greeting card shows the Ices sign at the Rendezvous Cafe in Whitley Bay, England. This popular Art Deco-style cafe is located on the North Promenade overlooking the sea. Built in the 1930s it was originally called the Garden Restaurant being renamed to Rendezvous Cafe in 1957. It now sells cakes and ice creams in its sympathetically modernised facilities and of course, has that iconic Ices sign outside. Perfect for any local or lover of the North East of England or who loves a visit to the seaside (and ice cream). As an added bonus the image was also created using a variation of the historic Cyanotype process in blue, white and gold for an added touch of historical nostalgia. Exclusive to Alchemi Art you won’t find this card in the big chain stores.
This Rendezvous Cafe Greeting Card measures 150 x 150 mm. On the front, it features a print of an original artwork by Mara Louvain of Alchemi Art. It comes with a white envelope, packaged in a recyclable cello bag. The card is blank inside, so you can write your own message of love, friendship, or congratulations. The card is made of high-quality 300 gsm FSC cardstock, which means that it is made from responsibly managed forests.
