The Riverside Stadium was built to replace Ayresome Park and opened in 1995. The club placed the old Ayresome Parks Gates outside the stadium as a remind of the past. The stadium hosts both mens and women’s football and in 2021 was one of the host stadiums for the Mens Rugby League World Cup. It hosts concerts with performers including Take That, Arctic Monkeys, Olly Murs and Manic Street Preachers.
