This beautiful aerial panoramic print shows the Tees Transporter Bridge which crosses the River Tees at Middlesbrough on Teesside in the north east of England. The bridge opened in 1911 and for over 100 years would transport vehicles across the Tees on a gondola which has now been removed after it closed in August of 2019. Its instantly recognisable shape is much loved as an icon of the area. There is a small museum dedicated to the bridge and the industrial heritage of Middlesbrough which can be found by the bridge on the south side.
The stunning structure is unfortunately suffering from the ravages of time and is in urgent need of conservation and restoration to save it for future generations.
This Tees Transporter Print is currently available to buy online in the 18×6″ (45.72×15.24cm) borderless landscape panorama size only. If you would like a different size then please contact me. Your print will be printed on archival photographic paper at the professional photographic lab. Please note that your print will be delivered without a mount or frame.
