This beautiful art print shows the Tyne Bridge at night, which crosses the River Tyne between Newcastle and Gateshead. Illustrated in the retro Travel Poster or Railway Poster style popular in the early twentieth century, it gives a nostalgic twist to a modern contemporary artwork. The artwork has been created by Mara Louvain Robinson, is exclusive to Alchemi Art and it is not available from any other retailers or online sites.
It was designed by the firm Mott, Hay and Anderson and built by Dorman Long and Co. of Middlesbrough opening in October 1928. Dorman Long went on to build the Sydney Harbour Bridge and ever since Geordies have been quick to point out that the Tyne Bridge was the first.
This Newcastle Tyne Bridge Print is currently available to buy online in the A4 (with small white border) and 16×12″ (without border) sizes only. If you would like a different size then please contact me.
