This beautiful art print shows the Northern Spire Bridge which crosses the River Wear in Sunderland. Illustrated in the retro Travel Poster or Railway Poster style popular in the early twentieth century, it gives a nostalgic twist to a modern contemporary artwork. It is perfect for any local or lover of this beautiful region and would look beautiful in any home.
The artwork has been created by Mara Louvain Robinson, is exclusive to Alchemi Art and it is not available from any other retailers or online sites.
The beautiful modern bridge known as The Northern Spire, sometimes shortened to just The Spire, crosses the River Wear at Sunderland and took 3 years to construct. It opened in August 2018 and was actually opened a day earlier than traffic was allowed to cross for pedestrians to try it out, something greatly appreciated by the locals. It has a central A Frame which rises 105m which supports the cable structure. It links Pallion to the south with Castletown to the north.
This Northern Spire Print is currently available to buy online in the A4 (with small white border) and 16×12″ (without border) sizes only. If you would like a different size then please contact me.
